The perliminary analyses shows the landslide occurred in three stages. In the first stage, the 18 – Pan slip mass and the dammed lake were formed and a darkened, evem and straight steep air face appeated on the western cliff of the Cuihua Peak. Im the second stage, the huge rock sea slip mass of the major landslide scene came into being and directly opposite this spot, the air face crossing the first broken down rock face of the Cuihua Peak took shape ,In the third stage the gentle rock face with less amount of collapsed rock mass ai the south side was formed and now is already covered by vegetation
